"DO I HAVE TO GET NAKED?" NUDE BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY

There is absolutely no need to get nude for your photo session, but you can if you feel comfortable and if it is your thing. There is absolutely no pressure. I want to capture YOU and how you feel empowered.

Many people think that a boudoir session means you have to go naked. This is not true, as you can see in the variety of my body of work. Every client is portrayed in a way that they want to see themselves. I love shooting my clients naked, but I do not push anyone to do anything that is out of their comfort zone. Actually, I would like to talk about ‘comfort zone’ for a moment. 

For most people doing a boudoir session is already out of their comfort zone, and often last minute, they try to get out of it. Until they are in the studio and cannot believe how free and fabulous they feel.

This is what a client of mine just said a couple days ago:
“In a million years I never thought I'd arrive at 10, done with makeup by 11 and comfortably topless by noon :) It was empowering and fun.” I asked her how she felt before the session and she said: “Nervous is not a strong enough word. I was panicking about my folds, my eyelids, my face and my gray hair.  Diana quickly reminded me that all of those things are me and that they are all beautiful.” And ohhhh boy!!! Her photos are a-mazing!!! Wow! I cannot show them yet because as much as they are a gift for herself, they are a surprise for her husband, and I already know that he will be blown away. Not only because she looks stunning, but because she herself thought that she would NEVER do anything like this. THIS is why I love my job!!!

It is important to know that nudity does not equal "sexy" or "sexuality," those things are all implied with posing and facial expressions. 

Some clients know they want to go nude from the start, and I welcome that. And sometimes, clients who were nervous at the beginning of their photo session wish to go naked at some stage towards the end. Others know that they simply have no desire to go nude under any circumstances. Their images are as beautiful and sensual as the clients who wish to bare it all. 

It is essential that we talk about this openly, so we are all on the same page, and then we will go with the flow.
